Processing card payments with your Solo couldn’t be easier. You can accept Visa, V PAY, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, Google Pay and Apple Pay.
How much does SumUp charge?
SumUp offers simple pricing: choose pay-as-you-go at 1.69% per transaction with no monthly fee, or the Payments Plus plan at £19/month, which lowers in-person domestic card fees to 0.99%. Other card types and online payments follow standard rates.
Can my customers pay via contactless with the Solo card payment machine?
Yes. The terminal accepts contactless, Chip & PIN, Google Pay and Apple Pay. Customers can tap their card or device to complete the payment, as long as the amount is within the contactless limit.
How long does it take for the money to appear in my account?
Payouts appear in your free SumUp Business Account every 3 hours — even on weekends and bank holidays. If you choose to use your own bank account, funds typically arrive within 1–2 business days.
Will I still be charged if a payment is declined?
No, you only pay the fixed transaction fee on successful transactions — there’s no charge for declined payments.
