Frequently Asked Questions
How fast will my company be formed?
In most cases, Companies House will process and approve your application the same working day, Monday to Friday. Occasionally, applications are delayed if details need clarifying or if Companies House has a backlog.
What information do I need to provide?
You’ll need your proposed company name, a brief description of what the business will do, director and shareholder details (names, addresses and dates of birth), share allocations and your registered office address.
Is a registered office address included?
A registered office address is not included in the £99 digital formation package. If you need a professional UK registered office, we can arrange this through our formation partner for an additional fee.
Do I need to live in the UK to register a company?
No. Directors and shareholders don’t have to be UK residents, but valid identification and address verification will still be required as part of standard compliance checks.
Will I receive printed company documents?
This is a digital‑only package. Your Certificate of Incorporation, Memorandum & Articles and share certificates are provided by email as PDF documents. If you need printed copies, we can arrange these separately.
Can you help with opening a business bank account?
Yes. Once your company is formed, we can introduce you to business banking providers that work well for new companies. Final approval is always at the discretion of the bank or provider.
Can you help with accounting and tax?
We don’t provide accounting or tax advice directly, but we work with accounting partners and can refer you if you’d like professional support once your company is up and running.
What happens after my company is registered?
You’ll receive your company number and digital documents. From there you can open a business bank account, register for taxes where appropriate, sign contracts in the company name and start trading. If you need help accepting card payments, we can advise on the best options.
