Yes! The myPOS Carbon now supports Offline Mode, allowing you to accept payments even without an internet connection and stay operational anywhere. Just note that since transactions aren’t authorized in real time, you’ll be liable for any payments declined later once the device reconnects.
Does the myPOS Carbon support Wi-Fi?
Yes, the latest hardware version of the myPOS Carbon supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity. You can easily switch between 4G and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi depending on your preferences and network availability at your location.
How long does the delivery take after ordering a device?
The portable card reader will be delivered from our local store within 3 days.
Is the device shock-proof?
The myPOS Carbon holds an IP54 certification and can endure drops of up to 1.5 metres. However, to ensure reliable long-term performance, it is recommended to avoid subjecting the card machine to shocks or falls, as these may cause damage or lead to expensive repairs.
How quickly can I see every payment in my Account after a purchase?
Immediately. It’s an instant payment and processing is completed within seconds.
Can I assign payments from the Card Machine to my other Business Accounts?
You don’t need to have a bank account to use myPOS. All payments are instantly credited to your personal multi-currency myPOS merchant account. You can then transfer the funds to any bank account of your choice or use the provided business Mastercard to handle your company expenses.
What happens if the terminal gets lost or stolen? Is anybody able to do any harm to my business with it?
If your portable card reader is lost or stolen, please contact us immediately. The only potential issue is that someone could process a limited number of transactions, which may later need to be refunded (charged back). In such cases, your business would be responsible only for the transaction fees — this is the sole risk associated with a lost or stolen device.
How can I accept payments from customers with mobile phones?
The card payment machine uses NFC (Near Field Communication) technology to process payments. It accepts all types of cards and devices, including mobile phones with installed e-wallets. To make a payment, simply hold the e-wallet device close to the reader.
